The course goes beyond gardening, introducing a variety of homesteading skills including cheese making, soap making, herbal medicine (from historical and ethnobotanical perspectives), and practical cooking techniques and recipes.
The full program runs through September, with one two-hour class per month for a total of six sessions.
This class may be purchased individually ($75 per person/per class) or as a complete series at $375. This course is the perfect gift for the DIY enthusiast or anyone interested in self-sufficiency.
Class 6: Harvest & Homestead Kitchen
Celebrate the culmination of your urban homesteading journey in this hands-on session! Learn techniques for preserving and cooking with your harvest, including apples and other seasonal produce.
We’ll also cover the basics of bread making, giving you practical skills to enjoy fresh, homemade bread alongside your homegrown fruits and vegetables. This final class brings together gardening, preserving, and cooking for a full farm-to-table experience.
